EVERY teacher and student deserves to THRIVE in a school with safe, modern, creative spaces that support teaching and learning excellence. VOTING YES on Measure G will help make that possible in Greenfield K-8 neighborhood schools.
HALF our Greenfield Union School District schools were built 50 years ago; they need significant repairs and modernization. Meanwhile, as more families have moved into our community, student enrollment continues to grow. Our schools are at maximum capacity, using every possible space. Additional classrooms are needed to reduce overcrowding.
Greenfield children deserve better. If we want our kids to succeed in high school, college and careers, they need current technology skills, including a solid background in science, math, engineering and technology.
Measure G authorizes a prudent, responsible solution to upgrade Greenfield schools, and add needed classrooms and student-support facilities. NO other funding exists to address these needs.
Measure G will:
- Repair/replace deteriorating roofs, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems
- Modernize science, technology, engineering, arts and math instructional spaces
- Improve school safety – fencing, cameras, door locks, emergency fire and communication systems
- Renovate classrooms and labs for hands-on 21st century learning
- Replace aging portables with permanent classrooms
- Upgrade computers and technology – for both classrooms and safe online/distance learning
- Build additional classrooms and school facilities to reduce overcrowding
Taxpayer safeguards are REQUIRED:
- ALL funds STAY LOCAL for Greenfield Union School District schools.
- The State CANNOT take this funding away.
- Citizens’ Oversight Committee, independent audits, and regular public reports ensure proper spending of funds.
